The Green Gate Garden greenhouse

  • Who: The Green Gate Garden greenhouse

  • When: Opened in April 2009

  • At The Green Gate Garden you can walk through the 10,000 square-foot garden spaces, smell the fragrance of exotic flowers and sample the freshly-picked, ripe strawberries. A tour to remember at Fair Oaks Farms

Paul Van Middlesworth, a contributing writer to www.thecommunitypaper.com, visited Fair Oaks Farms and interviewed FOF CEO Gary Corbett for an article.

Mr. Middlesworth took the Adventure Center tour and spoke with Mr. Corbett about the daily operations of the farm and the magnitude of the farms' production.

In his article, Mr. Middlesworth writes:
"We spent an hour with Mr. Corbett. He recounted the history and philosophy of Fair Oaks Farms as well as details of day-to-day operations. Mr. Corbett was as casual and honest as the jeans and work shirt he wore. He answered all of our questions directly and thoughtfully. As we toured the various activity centers later that afternoon, we were to see Gary Corbett several more times, always on the move smiling and talking with employees and guests and always with a friendly wave."
